Rize/Youth Company Requirements:

  • For experience dancers ages 9-14yrs. Please note the age group may be adjusted slightly based on pre-registration. Ex. Students aged 8yrs may be permitted to join if they are a match to the program requirements and some students age 12yrs may be a better fit to our Young Stunnaz competitive team
  • We recommend a min. 3-4yrs experience in hip hop or related styles. An audition is required for all new students considering our competitive program. This can be done during our Strictly Hip Hop Dance Intensive (Aug 13-14), or the first two weeks of classes- click HERE for more audition info.  Readiness to compete is at the discretion of the instructor and is based not only on ability but also the student’s dedication, effort and attendance!
  • Full Season Commitment is required (Sept 2016-May 2017). In order to give our dancers the greatest opportunity to advance their skills and experience level, our competitive program requires a full season commitment with an emphasis on regular attendance, effort and dedication. We value the ‘team’ experience and the positive benefits it has on a student’s growth therefor it is expected that all participant’s (and parents) make classes, rehearsals and performances a top priority.
  • All Youth Company members must maintain a minimum of 2.5hrs of training/week in order to further their techniques and step up to the high level of competition expected this year. Since their regular class is 1.5hrs, this means choosing at least one additional performance or rec class. Top recommendations are the Foundations 2.0 technique class or Breakin 12yrs+.

REGISTRATION FOR THIS CLASS IS NOW CLOSED FOR 2016-2017 COMPETITIVE SEASON! AUDITIONS FOR THE 2017-2018 SEASON WILL TAKE PLACE IN AUG/SEPT 2017.
